FrontPage Express is a lightweight WYSIWYG HTML editor developed by Microsoft Corporation. Bundled with Internet Explorer 4.x in the late 1990s, it gave beginners an easy way to create and edit simple web pages without writing code. Its word processor-style interface supported common tasks such as formatting text, creating lists, adding hyperlinks and images, and building basic tables, while saving pages as standard HTML files suitable for personal sites.

Unlike the full Microsoft FrontPage product, FrontPage Express lacked features such as multi-page site management, advanced layout tools, and server-side authoring capabilities, making it best suited for small, standalone pages. Designed for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT, the software has been discontinued and is no longer supported. It remains notable for lowering the barrier to entry for early web publishing.

FrontPage Express is developed by Microsoft and is used by 10 users of Software Informer. The most popular version of this product among our users is 3.0. The names of program executable files are Fpxpress.exe, Icon4617667E.exe and SSW3E9_2F01F257.EXE.
